dc.description.abstract | Determinar la epidemiología de la influenza A/H1N1 en la población de Chepén, entre enero y septiembre 2013. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo, que evaluó 12 casos confirmados de influenza A/H1N1. RESULTADOS: Se observó un predominio de casos de influenza A/H1N1N en los adultos de 20 a 59 años con 41.7%, el 58.3% fueron varones. El 33.3% fueron estudiantes, el 25% empleados y el 16.7% amas de casa. En cuanto al cuadro clínico hubo fiebre 100%, malestar general 100%, tos 91.7%, dolor de garganta 91.7%, rinorrea 83.3%, faringitis 83.3%, cefalea 75%. El 50% presentaron dificultad respiratoria y el 25% de los casos fueron hospitalizados. El 66.7% requirieron el uso de antibióticos, y el 50% antivirales. CONCLUSIONES: Entre las características sociodemográficas más frecuentes se halló la edad de 20 a 59 años, afecto más a los varones y a los estudiantes. La mayoría tuvo contactos con personas con enfermedades respiratorias, ninguno recibió la vacuna respetiva. El cuadro clínico se caracterizó por: fiebre, malestar general, tos y dolor de garganta. Entre los criterios de gravedad predominó la dificultad respiratoria. Se usó con más frecuencias antibióticos que antivirales y el asma fue la comorbilidad más frecuente. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | To determine the epidemiology of influenza A/H1N1 in the population of Chepén, from January until September 2013. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A descriptive, retrospective study was performed, evaluating 12 cases of confirmed influenza A/H1N1. RESULTS: A predominance of cases of influenza A/H1N1 was found in adults in between 20 and 50 years old with 41.7%, 58.3% were males. 33.3% were students, 25% house staff, and 16.7% housewives. Considering the clinical presentation, there was fever 100%, malaise 100%, cough 91.7%, sore throat 91.7%, rhinorrhea 83.3%, pharyngitis 83.3%, and headache 75%. There was respiratory distress in 50% and 25% of the cases were hospitalized. 66.7% required antibiotic therapy and 50% antiviral treatment. CONCLUSIONS: In between the social demographic characteristics, most frequently was found: age between 20 – 50 years old, affected more the male gender and students. The majority had had contact with persons affected by respiratory disease. None of them received the respective vaccination. Clinical appearance was characterized by: fever, malaise, cough and sore throat. In the criteria of severity predominated respiratory distress. Antibiotics were used more frequently than antivirals and asthma was found the most frequent comorbidity. | en_US |
