Valor del puntaje nacional de alerta temprana en la predicción de mortalidad intrahospitalaria en pacientes con neumonía por SARS-COv-2 en el Hospital de Alta Complejidad “Virgen de la Puerta"

Abstract

Determinar si el puntaje nacional de alerta temprana 2 tiene valor en la predicción de mortalidad intrahospitalaria en pacientes con neumonía por Material y métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio retrospectivo seccional de pruebas diagnósticas en el que se incluyeron a 148 pacientes con COVID 19, según criterios de selección los cuales se dividieron en 2 grupos: fallecidos o sobrevivientes; calculándose el área bajo la curva de los marcadores. Resultados: El promedio de edad y la frecuencia de sexo masculino, hiperlactatemia e hiperglucemia fueron significativamente mayores en el grupo de pacientes fallecidos que en el de sobrevivientes (p<0.05). La sensibilidad y especificidad del puntaje nacional de alerta temprana 2 en la predicción de mortalidad en pacientes con Neumonía por SARS-CoV-2 fue de 83% y 79% respectivamente. El valor predictivo positivo y negativo del puntaje nacional de alerta temprana 2 en la predicción de mortalidad en pacientes con Neumonía por SARS-CoV-2 fue de 56% y 94% respectivamente. La exactitud pronostica del puntaje nacional de alerta temprana 2 en la predicción de mortalidad en pacientes con Neumonía por SARS-CoV-2 fue de 84%, siendo 7 el mejor punto de corte de la escala. Conclusión: El puntaje nacional de alerta temprana 2 tiene valor en la predicción de mortalidad intrahospitalaria en pacientes con neumonía por SARS-CoV-2

To determine if the national early warning score 2 has value in the prediction of in-hospital mortality in patients with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia Material and methods: A sectional retrospective study of diagnostic tests was carried out in which 148 patients with COVID 19 were included, according to selection criteria, which were divided into 2 groups: deceased or survivors; calculating the area under the curve of the markers.
