Nivel de conocimiento sobre diseño de prótesis parcial removible en alumnos de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2022

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre diseño de prótesis parcial removible (PPR) en alumnos de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2022. Materiales y Métodos: El estudio fue observacional de corte transversal, aplicado en 185 alumnos de Estomatología del V al X ciclo. El nivel de conocimiento se evaluó mediante un cuestionario con 20 preguntas. El instrumento fue sometido a validez por juicio de expertos siendo 0.99 el valor de la V de Aiken y posteriormente se obtuvo la confiabilidad con el Alpha de Cronbach de 0.82. Los resultados se analizaron con estadística descriptiva y Chi cuadrado para relacionar las variables de nivel de conocimiento con género y ciclo de estudios. Resultados: Se encontró que el 36.76% de los alumnos obtuvieron un nivel de conocimiento Insuficiente y el 29.73% obtuvo un nivel suficiente; en relación al género, el femenino obtuvo un nivel de conocimiento insuficiente del 40.17% en comparación al masculino que fue el 30.88%; en cuanto al ciclo de estudios los alumnos del IX ciclo demostraron tener un nivel de conocimiento insuficiente del 42.31% con respecto a los del VI ciclo (27.78%). Según la prueba estadística, no existe diferencia significativa al relacionar el ciclo y el género con el nivel de conocimiento sobre diseño de PPR. Conclusión: La mayoría de los alumnos de Estomatología de la universidad Privada Antenor Orrego tienen un nivel de conocimiento insuficiente sobre diseño de PPR.

To determine the level of knowledge about the design of removable partial dentures (PPR) in Stomatology students of the Antenor Orrego Private University, 2022. Materials and Methods: The study was cross-sectional observational, applied to 185 Stomatology students from the V to the X cycle. The level of knowledge was evaluated by means of a questionnaire with 20 questions. The instrument was subjected to validity by expert judgment, being 0.99 the value of Aiken's V and later reliability was obtained with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.82. The results were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Chi square to relate the level of knowledge variables with sex and study cycle. Results: It was found that 36.76% of the students obtained an insufficient level of knowledge and 29.73% obtained a sufficient level; in relation to gender, the female obtained an insufficient level of knowledge of 40.17% compared to the male who was 30.88%; Regarding the cycle of studies, the students of the IX cycle demonstrated an insufficient level of knowledge of 42.31% with respect to those of the VI cycle (27.78%). According to the statistical test, there is no significant difference when relating the cycle and gender with the level of knowledge about PPR design. Conclusion: Most of the Dentistry students of the Antenor Orrego Private University have an insufficient level of knowledge about PPR design.
