Sistema de gestión de inventarios para reducir los costos de inventario en la empresa Costa Gas Trujillo S.A.C. - 2017

Abstract

La presente tesis, tiene como finalidad proponer un sistema de gestión de inventarios que permita reducir los costos de mantenimiento del inventario en la empresa Costa Gas Trujillo S.A.C., dedicada a la comercialización de GLP, ubicada en la ciudad de Trujillo, La Libertad. El estudio comienza con la recopilación de los datos históricos de la demanda, con esa información se llevó a cabo el análisis de la clasificación ABC para determinar la participación de cada producto en los ingresos de la empresa durante el año 2016, posteriormente con los datos históricos de la demanda de los años 2015-2016 se hicieron pronósticos para determinar la demanda del año 2017 como: promedio móvil, suavización exponencial, suavización exponencial con tendencia, suavización exponencial con tendencia y estacionalidad; para elegir el pronóstico con el menor error, obteniendo como pronóstico la suavización exponencial con tendencia y estacionalidad por ser el que más se ajusta a la demanda de la empresa. Se propuso a la empresa seguir un sistema de gestión de inventarios, que determinará el lote económico de compra (EOQ), el punto de reorden (ROP) y el stock de seguridad (SS) para cada producto. Finalmente, se comparó el sistema de gestión de inventarios propuesto versus la política actual de mantenimiento del inventario que la empresa ha estado manejando; este análisis muestra que el sistema de gestión de inventarios propuesto reduce los costos de mantenimiento del inventario en un 58.22%.

The present thesis, it takes as a purpose to propose a system of inventory management that allows to reduce the costs of maintenance of the inventory in the company Costa Gas Trujillo S.A.C., dedicated to the commercialization of GLP, located in the city of Trujillo, La Libertad. The study begins with the collection of the historical data of the demand, with that information was carried out the analysis of the classification ABC to determine the participation of each product in the income of the company during the year 2016, later with the historical data of the demand of the years 2015-2016, it was made forecasts to determine the demand of the year 2017 as: mobile average, exponential smoothing, exponential smoothing with trend, exponential smoothing with trend and seasonality ; to choose the prognosis with the less error, obtaining as forecast the exponential smoothing with trend and seasonality for being the one that most is adjusted to the demand of the company. It was proposed to the company to follow a system of inventory management, which will determine the economic lot of purchase (EOQ), the reorder point (ROP) and the safety stock (SS) for every product. Finally, we compared the proposed inventories management system versus the current policy of maintaining the inventory that the company has been handling; this analysis shows that the proposed inventories management system reduces inventory maintenance costs by 58.22%.
