Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento de padres sobre la salud bucal de pre-escolares en las I.E. Nro.82175, 80478, 82177 del distrito de Chillia, Pataz-La Libertad, 2020. MATERIAL Y METODOS: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal y se encuestaron virtualmente a 92 Padres de familia de preescolares empleando un cuestionario virtual validado (google form). RESULTADOS: El nivel de conocimiento sobre la salud bucal, reportado en los padres de pre-escolares de niños de educación inicial fue Deficiente en el 56.5% y Regular en el 43.55%. La Salud bucal fue evaluada en las dimensiones de Caries Dental, Prevención de la enfermedad, Dieta e Higiene Bucal. CONCLUSIONES: El Nivel de conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal de los padres de pre-escolares es Deficiente no existiendo diferencia por género, grupo de edad o grado de instrucción.

To determine the level of knowledge of parents about the oral health of preschoolers in the I.E. No. 82175, 80478, 82177 from the district of Chillia, Pataz- La Libertad, 2020. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out in which virtually 92 parents of preschoolers were surveyed. RESULTS: The level of knowledge about oral health, reported in the parents of preschool children of initial education was Deficient in 56.5% and Regular in 43.55, none of the parents presented a Good or Very Good level. Oral Health was evaluated in the dimensions of Dental Caries, Disease Prevention, Adequate Diet and Oral Hygiene, being that the knowledge in each of them was registered mainly in the Deficient level. CONCLUSIONS: The level of knowledge about Oral Health of preschool parents is Deficient, with no difference by gender, age group or level of education.
