Sexismo y violencia en las relaciones de noviazgo entre adolescentes de una institución educativa privada de Trujillo

Abstract

El estudio fue elaborado con el fin de determinar la relación entre sexismo y violencia en adolescentes de una institución educativa privada de Trujillo. Se contó con una muestra de 152 adolescentes con edades que fluctúan entre 15 y 17 años de edad, se les administró la Escala de Sexismo en Adolescentes (DSA) de Recio et al. (2007) y el Inventario de Violencia en las Relaciones de Noviazgo entre Adolescentes (CADRI) de Wolfe y Wekerle (2001). Los resultados mostraron una correlación positiva altamente significativa con tamaño de efecto medio entre sexismo y violencia cometida (rho=.326; p<.01) y entre sexismo y violencia sufrida (rho=375; p<.01). Es decir, a más sexismo más violencia cometida y sufrida.

The study was prepared in order to determine the relationship between sexism and violence in adolescents from a private educational institution in Trujillo. With a sample of 152 adolescents with ages ranging between 15 and 17 years of age, they were administered the Scale of Sexism in Adolescents (DSA) of Recio et al. (2007) and the Inventory of Violence in Dating Relationships among Adolescents (CADRI) of Wolfe and Wekerle (2001). The results showed a highly significant positive correlation with a mean effect size between sexism and violence committed (rho = .326; p <.01) and between sexism and violence suffered (rho = 375; p <.01). In other words, the more sexism, the more violence committed and suffered.
