Nivel de conocimiento en estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego sobre el Cáncer Bucal, Trujillo -2021

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer bucal en los estudiantes de estomatología de la universidad privada Antenor Orrego, Trujillo 2021. Material y método: Se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por los estudiantes del 7o al 10o ciclo de estudios en el semestre 2021 de la Escuela de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo con un total de 129, cuales cumplieron con los criterios de selección. Se utilizó un cuestionario elaborado específicamente para la investigación que mide el Nivel de conocimiento en estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego sobre el cáncer bucal, Trujillo, 2021 que constó con 20 ítems, cada ítem se valoró con 1 punto para una respuesta correcta y 0 puntos para una respuesta incorrecta. Resultados: Se encontró que los estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego tienen un nivel de conocimiento bueno. También el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer bucal en los estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego del 8vo ciclo predominó con un conocimiento bueno con un 31%. Asimismo, el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer bucal en los estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego fue bueno tanto en varones con 78% como en mujeres con un 77.3%. Conclusión: El conocimiento sobre el cáncer bucal en los estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego es bueno y en relación al sexo no hay diferencia.

To determine the level of knowledge about oral cancer in stomatology students from the private university Antenor Orrego, Trujillo 2021. Material and method: A descriptive, correlational cross-sectional study was carried out. The population was made up of students from the 7th to the 10th cycle of studies in the 2021 semester of the School of Stomatology of the Antenor Orrego de Trujillo Private University with a total of 129, who met the selection criteria. Results: Stomatology students from the Antenor Orrego Private University were found to have a good level of knowledge. Also, the level of knowledge about oral cancer in the stomatology students of the Antenor Orrego Private University of the 8th cycle predominated with a good knowledge with 31%. Likewise, the level of knowledge about oral cancer in stomatology students at the Antenor Orrego Private University was good both in men with 78% and in women with 77.3%. Conclusion: Knowledge about oral cancer in stomatology students at the Antenor Orrego Private University is good and in relation to gender there is no difference.
