Nivel de conocimiento sobre lesiones maxilares en radiografía panorámica en estudiantes de estomatología Trujillo, 2022

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre lesiones maxilares en radiografía panorámica en estudiantes de estomatología, Trujillo, 2022. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue observacional de corte transversal. Se ejecutó en la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego con una muestra de 186 estudiantes de estomatología del quinto al décimo ciclo en el semestre 2022 – 20, se empleó un método no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se utilizó un cuestionario de manera presencial, el cual fue validado a través de la prueba V de Aiken de 0.994 y adquirió una confiabilidad de 0.813 en la prueba de Alpha de Cronbach. Resultados: Se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre lesiones maxilares en radiografía panorámica en estudiantes de estomatología fue insuficiente con un 37.09%, seguido del nivel bueno en un 29.56%. Según el ciclo académico, el quinto y sexto ciclo prevaleció en el nivel insuficiente con un 9.67% y 9.68% respectivamente. El octavo ciclo prevaleció en el nivel bueno con un 10.21%. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento sobre lesiones maxilares en radiografía panorámica de los estudiantes de estomatología fue insuficiente, siendo los estudiantes de quinto y sexto ciclo quienes predominaron en el nivel insuficiente.

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about maxillary lesions in panoramic radiography in stomatology students. Trujillo, 2022. Material and Method: The study was cross-sectional observational. It was carried out at the Antenor Orrego Private University with a sample of 186 dentistry students from the fifth to the tenth cycle of the 2022-20 semester, a non probabilistic method was used for convenience. A questionnaire was used in person, which was validated through Aiken's V test of 0.994 and acquired a reliability of 0.813 in Cronbach's Alpha test. Results: It was found that the level of knowledge about maxillary lesions in panoramic radiography in stomatology students was insufficient with 37.09%, followed by the good level with 29.56%. According to the academic cycle, the fifth and sixth cycle prevailed in the insufficient level with 9.67% and 9.68% respectively. The eighth cycle prevailed in the good level with 10.21%. Conclusions: The level of knowledge about maxillary lesions in panoramic radiography of stomatology students was insufficient, being the fifth and sixth cycle students who predominated in the insufficient level.
