Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento de los cirujanos dentistas sobre lesiones en mucosa bucal producidos por aparatología ortodóncica, Trujillo – 2020. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo, se realizó con ayuda del Colegio Odontológico de La Libertad. Se diseñó una encuesta de 10 preguntas, con preguntas cerradas de opción única. RESULTADOS: Se puede observar el nivel de conocimiento de los cirujanos dentistas sobre las lesiones en mucosa bucal producidos por aparatología ortodóncia indicando un nivel malo con el 5,31% (correspondiente a un puntaje entre 0 y3); un nivel regular con el 49,76% (correspondiente a un puntaje entre 4 y 7) y un nivel bueno con el 44,93% (correspondiente a un puntaje entre 8 y 10). CONCLUSIÓN: El nivel de conocimiento de los cirujanos dentistas sobre lesiones en mucosa bucal producidos por aparatología ortodóncica, Trujillo – 2020; es regular con el 49,76% de la muestra.

To determine the level of knowledge of dental surgeons about injuries to the oral mucosa produced by orthodontic appliances, Trujillo - 2020. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was descriptive and was carried out with the help of the La Libertad Dental College. A 10-question survey was designed, with single-choice closed questions. RESULTS: The level of knowledge of dental surgeons about oral mucosa lesions caused by orthodontic appliances can be observed, indicating a bad level with 5.31% (corresponding to a score between 0 and 3); a regular level with 49.76% (corresponding to a score between 4 and 7) and a good level with 44.93% (corresponding to a score between 8 and 10). CONCLUSION: The level of knowledge of dental surgeons about lesions in the oral mucosa produced by orthodontic appliances, Trujillo - 2020; is regular with 49.76% of the sample.
