| es_PE |

Results: 102 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were evaluated in two hospitals in Piura, where the association between glycemic control and cognitive impairment was sought. Of these patients, we found that 51.43% had glycosylated hemoglobin greater than or equal to 7 without cognitive impairment, while 48.57 % of patients had glycosylated hemoglobin greater than or equal to 7 and cognitive impairment, there was no patient with cognitive impairment and glycosylated hemoglobin less than 7, a value p<0.001 was found, for which we determined that there is an association between cognitive impairment and glycosylated hemoglobin greater than or equal to 7%.
Conclusions: An association was found between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and cognitive impairment. | en_US |
