Nivel de severidad de la infección materna por COVID-19 y su relación con complicaciones neonatales. Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. 2020-2021

Abstract

Con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el nivel de severidad de la infección materna por COVID-19 y las complicaciones neonatales en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, 2020-2021. Se realizó un trabajo de investigación básica, descriptivo de relación con un diseño transversal; que incluyó una muestra de 200 gestantes y sus respectivos recién nacidos. Los resultados que fueron encontrados, dentro del nivel de severidad de la infección materna por COVID-19 en madres atendidas en el Hospital fue: 84% de gestantes tuvieron COVID-19 leve, 6.5% tuvo COVID-19 moderado y el 9.5% presento COVID-19 severo; y dentro de las complicaciones neonatales en relación con el nivel de severidad de la infección materna por COVID-19 fue encontrada una significancia: p>0,322 en complicaciones respiratorias neonatales, p>0,158 en complicaciones no respiratorias, p<,003 en relación al bajo peso neonatal y p<0,003 en relación con prematuridad neonatal. Finalmente, este estudio evidencia que no existe relación entre nivel de severidad de la infección materna por covid-19 y las complicaciones neonatales.

With the objective of determining the relationship between the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19 and neonatal complications at the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, 2020-2021. A basic research work was carried out, descriptive of the relationship with a cross-sectional design; which included a sample of 200 pregnant women and their respective newborns. The results that were found, within the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19 in mothers treated at the Hospital were: 84% of pregnant women had mild COVID-19, 6.5% had moderate COVID-19 and 9.5% had COVID. -19 severe; and within neonatal complications in relation to the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19, a significance was found: p>0.322 in neonatal respiratory complications, p>0.158 in nonrespiratory complications, p<.003 in relation to low neonatal weight and p<0.003 in relation to neonatal prematurity. Finally, this study shows that there is no relationship between the level of severity of maternal covid-19 infection and neonatal complications
