Percepción de la mujer en la postergación del inicio de la maternidad. Distrito Trujillo. 2021

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue conocer la percepción de la mujer en la postergación del inicio de la maternidad, en el Distrito de Trujillo, 2021. La muestra estuvo constituida por 30 mujeres profesionales, entre profesoras, médicos, secretarias, odontólogas, ingenieras y abogadas, a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista, como técnica de recolección de datos, validada por 6 expertos en el tema. Asimismo, el estudio fue de tipo cualitativo con diseño fenomenológico. Los resultados encontrados fueron: Las mujeres tienen diversos objetivos relacionados a su superación personal y profesional, pasando la maternidad a ser un hecho secundario y no tan importante en la etapa en la que se encuentran. De la misma manera un grupo de mujeres indicaron que primero desean viajar, divertirse, disfrutar de su economía; sin embargo, no descartan el ser madres en el futuro. Además, tienen la percepción de que, el ser madre conlleva mucho esfuerzo, tiempo, responsabilidad, madurez, una pareja estable y, sobre todo, una buena economía, para darle una vida de calidad digna a sus hijos. En conclusión, las mujeres tienen, en primer lugar, objetivos diferentes a la maternidad y toman como opción ser madres cuando consideran haber cumplido con sus otros objetivos

The objective of this research was to learn about women's perception of the postponement of the onset of motherhood in the District of Trujillo, 2021. The sample consisted of 30 professional women, including teachers, doctors, secretaries, dentists, engineers and lawyers, to whom an interview was applied as a data collection technique, validated by 6 experts on the subject. The study was qualitative with a phenomenological design. The results found were: Women have various objectives related to their personal and professional development, maternity becoming a secondary fact and not so important in the stage in which they are. In the same way, a group of women indicated that they first want to travel, have fun, enjoy their economy; however, they do not rule out being mothers in the future. In addition, they have the perception that being a mother entails a lot of effort, time, responsibility, maturity, a stable partner and, above all, a good economy, to give their children a decent quality life. In conclusion, women have, in the first place, objectives other than motherhood and they choose to be mothers when they consider that they have fulfilled their other objectives.
