Propiedades psicométricas del instrumento lazos parentales (PBI) en estudiantes de una universidad privada en Trujillo

Abstract

La siguiente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar las propiedades psicométricas del instrumento lazos parentales (PBI) en estudiantes de una universidad privada en Trujillo. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 450 estudiantes universitarios con edades que oscilan entre 18 y 35 años de ambos sexos, a los cuales se les aplicó la adaptación de Galarreta (2016) del instrumento de lazos parentales (Parental Bonding Instrument). Los resultados obtenidos permiten evidenciar que la prueba presenta una estructura factorial de dos factores (cuidado y sobreprotección) con reducción de ítems en ambas versiones: 19 ítems en la versión madre y en la versión padre; así mismo, se obtuvieron valores satisfactorios en los índices de ajuste GFI, AGFI y NFI >.90; RMR<.080 en ambas versiones. Por último, se hallaron los valores de confiabilidad a través del coeficiente omega, obteniendo valores entre .871 y .931 para ambas versiones, lo cual permite calificar el instrumento como válido y confiable.

The following investigation had as its main objective to determinate the psychometric properties of the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) in students of a private university in Trujillo. The sample consisted of 450 university students between the ages of 18 and 35 years old of both sexes, to whom Galarreta’s (2016) adaptation of the Parental Bonding Instrument. The results obtained show that the test presents a factorial structure of two factors (care and overprotection) with a reduction of items in both versions: 19 items in the mother version and in the father version; likewise, satisfactory values have been obtained in the adjustment indices GFI, AGFI and NFI >.90; RMR<.080 in both versions. Finally, the reliability values were found through the omega coefficient, obtaining values between .871 and .931 for both versions, which allows qualifying the instrument as valid and reliable.
