Conocimiento sobre técnicas de manejo de conducta en odontopediatría en estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2022

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre técnicas de manejo de conducta en odontopediatría en estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2022. Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio fue observacional, de corte transversal. Se evaluaron a 120 estudiantes de estomatología del 7mo al 10mo ciclo, para lo cual se empleó un cuestionario virtual previamente validado con una validez de 0.9984375 y una confiabilidad de 0.806613573, se utilizó estadística descriptiva e inferencial para analizar los resultados. Resultados: Se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre el manejo de conducta en odontopediatría en estudiantes de estomatología fue regular en un 63.03%, el 20.17% fue bueno y el 16.81% fue malo. De 7mo a 10mo ciclo predominó el nivel de conocimiento regular con un 61.76%, 68.09%, 50% y 65% respectivamente. Los estudiantes de género femenino presentaron un nivel de conocimiento regular en un 63.64% y los de género masculino en un 61.29%. Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento sobre manejo de conducta en odontopediatría en los estudiantes de estomatología fue regular, encontrándose significancia entre ciclo a ciclo.

To determine the level of knowledge of behavioral management techniques in pediatric dentistry in students of stomatology at the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2022. Materials and Methods: This was an observational, cross-sectional study. A virtual questionnaire previously validated with a validity of 0.9984375 and a reliability of 0.806613573 was used to evaluate 120 stomatology students from the 7th to the 10th cycle, and descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the results. Results: It was found that the level of knowledge of behavior management in pediatric dentistry in stomatology students was fair in 63.03%, 20.17% was good and 16.81% was bad. From the 7th to the 10th cycle, the level of knowledge predominated, with 61.76%, 68.09%, 50% and 65% respectively. Female students presented a regular level of knowledge with 63.64% and male students with 61.29%. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of behavior management in pediatric dentistry among the stomatology students was regular, and there was a significant difference from cycle to cycle.
