Factores condicionantes básicos del autocuidado en el paciente con hipertensión arterial. Hospital Belén de Trujillo 2014

Abstract

Investigación de tipo descriptivo que se realizó durante los meses de junio y diciembre del 2014, teniendo como propósito determinar los factores condicionantes básicos del autocuidado en el paciente con hipertensión arterial. El universo muestral estuvo constituido por 50 pacientes del Hospital Belén de Trujillo que cumplieron con los criterios establecidos. Los datos fueron recogidos a través de un cuestionario que se utilizó para identificar los factores básicos condicionantes del autocuidado en el paciente con hipertensión arterial, elaborado por Isemberg Evers and cols. y modificado por las autoras. Se aplicó la prueba piloto a un total de 10 adultos los cuales asisten al programa de hipertensión y diabetes en el Centro Materno Infantil Wichanzao, quienes reunían criterios de selección señalados en el estudio. La confiabilidad del instrumento se midió mediante el coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, con un valor de 0.80. Los resultados en cuanto al factor condicionante básico capacidad cognitiva arrojaron que el 96% de pacientes tuvo capacidad cognitiva inadecuada y un 4% nivel adecuado; con respecto a lo sociocultural el 78% tuvo nivel inadecuado y el 22% nivel adecuado. En relación a la disponibilidad y adecuación de recursos el 96% tuvo nivel inadecuado y el 4% nivel adecuado. Concluyendo que los factores condicionantes básicos del autocuidado son adecuados en el 12% de pacientes hipertensión arterial e inadecuados en un 88%.

Descriptive research that was conducted during the months of June and December 2014, with the purpose to determine the basic conditioning factors of self-care in patients with hypertension. The sample universe consisted of 50 patients in the Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo who met the criteria. Data were collected through a questionnaire that was used to identify the basic conditioning factors of self-care in patients with hypertension, prepared by Isemberg Evers and colleagues. and amended by the authors. The pilot to a total of 10 adults who attend the program of hypertension and diabetes in the Maternal Child Center Wichanzao who met criteria specified in the study was applied. The reliability of the instrument was measured by Cronbach alpha coefficient, with a value of 0.80. The results regarding the conditioning factor basic cognitive ability showed that 96% of patients had inadequate cognitive capacity and 4% appropriate level; with respect to the sociocultural 78% had inadequate level and 22% correct level. Regarding the availability and adequacy of resources 96% had inadequate level and 4% appropriate level. Concluding that the basic determinants of self-care factors are adequate in 12% of patients and inadequate blood pressure by 88%.
