Funcionamiento familiar y afrontamiento de madres con hijos prematuros del Departamento de Neonatología. Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2016

Abstract

La presente investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional se realizó con madres de recién nacidos prematuros en el Departamento de Neonatología del Hospital Belén de Trujillo, durante los meses de julio – agosto del 2016, con la finalidad de determinar la relación del funcionamiento familiar y el afrontamiento de madres con hijos prematuros. La muestra estuvo constituida por 59 madres con recién nacidos prematuros, a las cuales se les aplicó dos instrumentos: un cuestionario de APGAR Familiar para medir el Funcionamiento Familiar y el cuestionario de afrontamiento de madres con hijos prematuros. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que del 100% de madres, el 83% tiene una alta función familiar, el 12% presenta moderada disfunción familiar y el 5% de ellas presenta una severa disfunción familiar. Asimismo, del 100% de ellas, el 86% presenta un afrontamiento positivo y el 14% presenta un afrontamiento negativo. El funcionamiento familiar no guarda relación estadística significativa con el afrontamiento de madres con recién nacidos prematuros (Gamma: 0,557, Valor-p: 0,209 > 0,05).

The present investigation of descriptive correlational type was carried out with premature newborn mothers in the Department of Neonatology of the Belen Hospital of Trujillo, during the months of July - August of 2016, with the purpose of determining the relationship that exists between family functioning and the coping of mothers with premature sons. The sample was constituted by 59 mothers with premature newborns, to which were applied two instruments: APGAR family questionnaire to measure the family functioning and the questionnaire of coping mothers with premature children. The results obtained show that 100% of mothers, 83% a high family function, 12% presents moderate family dysfunction, 5% of them presents a severe family dysfunction. In addition, 100% of them, 86% presents a positive coping and 14% presents a negative coping. Likewise, 100% of them, 86% presents a positive coping and 14% presents a negative coping.
