Abstract

Esta investigación busca describir las características semánticas del lenguaje escrito utilizado en el tratamiento periodístico de los hechos de violencia contra la mujer en el vespertino Satélite durante los meses de enero a julio de 2016. Tiene como objetivos: identificar el tipo de palabras utilizadas, describir las características contextuales de los textos y determinar la congruencia entre el mensaje y el titular. Se trabajó con una muestra conformada por 70 noticias que hacen referencia al problema. Los datos fueron recogidos a través de hojas de registro de análisis temático de textos. Al analizar los resultados se evidenció que los términos usados por el vespertino Satélite en referencia a los verbos, adjetivos, adverbios y sustantivos utilizados tanto para la figura femenina como para el agresor en los hechos noticiosos de violencia contra la mujer, favorecen el fortalecimiento de los prejuicios de género ante las situaciones de violencia, mientras que como espacio o medio de socialización contribuyen en establecer o reforzar estereotipos, modelos y valores que se instauran en la sociedad generando la percepción de violencia como algo cotidiano.

This search seeks to identify the semantic characteristics of the language used in the periodic treatment of violence in women in the evening. It has the objectives: to identify the type of words used, the contextual characteristics of the texts, the congruence between the message and the owner. We worked with a sample made up of 70 news items that refer to the problem. The data were collected through record sheets of thematic analysis of texts. In analyzing the results, it was evident that the terms used by the evening satellite in reference to the verbs, adjectives, adverbs and nouns used for both the female figure and the aggressor in the news events of violence against women, favor the strengthening of the Gender bias against situations of violence, while as a space or a means of socialization they contribute to establishing or reinforcing stereotypes, models and values that are established in society generating the perception of violence as something everyday.
