| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | To determine the prevalence of photodermatosis in adults with sun exposure in relation to height above level in skin types III or IV according to the Fitzpatrick scale. Material and Methods: An observational, correlational cross-sectional study was conducted. The study population consisted of 150 adult patients, 59 of Salaverry, 41 of Poroto, 50 of Cascas, which were randomly collected in the 3 health campaigns of these cities. Results: There were no significant differences with respect to the variables age and gender. The prevalence of photodermatosis was 52.5% in Salaverry, 46.3% in Poroto and 64% in Cascas, where no significant difference was observed. The most frequent type of photodermatosis was photodermatosis induced by drugs and chemicals in its exogenous subtypes (Phototoxicity and photoallergy), finding 39% in Salaverry, 46.3% in Poroto and 60% in Cascas, The most common skin phototype was type IV, with 72.9% in Salaverry, 75.6% in Poroto and 56% in Cascas The association between photodermatosis and cutaneous phototype III or IV, of those with photodermatosis, 45.8% corresponded to phototype III, 58.8 %% to type IV (NS). The most frequent type of lesion was dermatophyllosis in Salaverry in 30.5%, solar lentigo in Poroto in 17.1% and dermatoheliosis and xerosis in shells with 24%, And the most frequent location was face, neck and hands in Salaverry (32.2%), Poroto (41.5%) and Barks (36%). The association between the use of protective measures and photodermatosis, the population that did use some protection measure and had a diagnosis of photodermatosis was 54.9% (X2 = 13.097 P <0.01) Conclusions: There is no significant difference in the prevalence of photodermatosis in relation to height above sea level. | en_US |
