Obesidad central como factor predictor de riesgo cardiovascular en mujeres postmenopausicas

Abstract

Determinar si la obesidad central es un factor predictor de riesgo cardiovascular en mujeres postmenopáusicas en el Hospital Albrecht - ESSALUD.

Material y métodos: Estudio de pruebas diagnósticas, retrospectivo, analítico, observacional, en 122 pacientes con postmenopausia. Se calculó la sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo, valor predictivo negativo y exactitud predictiva. Se aplicó el test de chi cuadrado.

Resultados: La obesidad central representada como la relación cintura / estatura, tiene una sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo, negativo y exactitud predictiva de 75%, 68%, 79%, 63% y 72% respectivamente, para predecir el riesgo cardiovascular en postmenopáusicas.

Conclusiones: La obesidad central representada como la relación cintura / estatura, tiene valor para predecir el riesgo cardiovascular en mujeres postmenopáusicas en el Hospital I Albrecht- ESSALUD.
