Relación entre la altura de la rama mandibular y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la altura facial anterior en análisis cefalométricos de sujetos de 11 a 35 años de edad

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como propósito determinar la relación entre la altura de la rama mandibular y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la altura facial anterior en análisis cefalométricos de sujetos de 11 a 35 años de edad. El presente estudio retrospectivo, transversal, descriptivo y observacional. Incluyó un total de 167 análisis cefalometricos del año 2016. Las variables analizadas fueron altura de la rama mandibular, longitud del cuerpo mandibular y altura facial anterior. Se utilizó el análisis de Jarabak. Para comparar las variables se utilizó el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson con un nivel de significancia del 5%. Se observó que existe relación entre la altura de la rama mandibular con la altura facial anterior en análisis cefalométricos de sujetos de 11 a 13 años de edad y de 18 años a más, sin embargo no existe relación entre la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la altura facial anterior en análisis cefalométricos de sujetos de 11 a 35 años de edad.
