Nivel de conocimientos sobre la importancia de la pérdida prematura de dientes primarios en estudiantes de Estomatología, UPAO – 2022

Abstract

"Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre pérdida prematura de dientes primarios en estudiantes de estomatología, UPAO - 2022. Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio se llevó a cabo como un análisis transversal observacional. Se evaluó un total de 145 estudiantes del área de estomatología del 7° al 10° ciclo. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario virtual, el cual había sido previamente validado y demostró un alto nivel de confiabilidad con un valor de Alfa de Cronbach de 0.887. Esto indica que el cuestionario es una herramienta confiable para la medición. Se emplearon métodos estadísticos descriptivos e inferenciales para examinar e interpretar los hallazgos. Resultados: En el presente estudio se evaluó 145 estudiantes, de los cuales 47.59% presenta conocimiento bueno sobre pérdida prematura de dientes primarios; según la edad, aquellos estudiantes menores de 20 años presentaron un conocimiento bueno con un 50,00%; según el género estudiantes de género femenino presentaron el 49.50% de conocimiento bueno y género masculino presentaron un conocimiento bueno de 43.18%; por último, según el ciclo, aquellos estudiantes que cursan el X ciclo obtuvieron el mayor porcentaje de cantidad alumnos siendo 70% con un nivel de conocimiento bueno. Conclusión: El/nivel de/conocimiento sobre los estudiantes fue bueno, de igual manera en cuanto a nivel de conocimiento según edad, género y ciclo también fue bueno

To determine the level of knowledge about premature loss of primary teeth in stomatology students, UPAO - 2022. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out as an observational cross- sectional analysis. A total of 145 students from the stomatology area from the 7th to the 10th cycle were evaluated. For data collection, a virtual questionnaire was used, which had been previously validated and demonstrated a high level of reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.887. This indicates that the questionnaire is a reliable tool for measurement. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to examine and interpret the findings. Results: In the present study 145 students were evaluated, of which 47.59% present good knowledge about premature loss of primary teeth; according to age, those students under 20 years of age presented good knowledge with 50.00%; According to the gender, female students showed 49.50% good knowledge and male students showed good knowledge of 43.18%; Finally, according to the cycle, those students who are in the X cycle obtained the highest percentage of number of students, being 70% with a good level of knowledge. Conclusion: Conclusion: The level of knowledge about the students was good, likewise the level of knowledge according to age, gender and cycle was also good.
