Abstract

Con el objetivo de explorar la percepción y actitud sobre acoso sexual callejero en las alumnas de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego. Trujillo, 2015; se realizó una investigación de tipo cualitativo diseño fenomenológico en 30 alumnas, las cuales fueron seleccionadas a través de la estrategia bola de nieve, a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista a profundidad; construyeron sus respuestas en forma de historia o diálogo. La entrevista estuvo dividida en tres secciones, las cuales permitieron encontrar diferentes manifestaciones: Sección I: Percepción de ser mujer; Sección II: Percepción sobre el acoso sexual callejero; Sección III: Actitud frente al acoso sexual callejero. Se encontró que; las alumnas perciben a la mujer como una persona importante, por su rol reproductivo, valores, sentimientos, su manera de pensar y por su rol como mujer en la sociedad, lo cual la diferencia de los hombres. La percepción sobre el acoso sexual callejero se realiza en el espacio público mayormente a las estudiantes, a quienes los hombres silban, dicen palabras inadecuadas, faltan el respeto y a su vez es identificado como un tipo de violencia. Asimismo ante la ocurrencia de este problema, la actitud que tienen las alumnas en su mayoría frente al acoso sexual callejero es una actitud pasiva; es decir, ignoran, callan como si nada sucediera y continúan su camino, sintiéndose a la par muy fastidiadas e indignadas por lo sucedido.

It was found that; The students perceive women as an important person, because of their reproductive role, values, feelings, their way of thinking and their role as a woman in society, which differentiates them from men. The perception of street sexual harassment is mostly carried out on the streets by students, whom men whistle, say inadequate words, lack respect and in turn is identified as a type of violence. Likewise, in the face of this problem, the attitude of female students in the majority against street sexual harassment is a passive attitude; Ignore, shut up as if nothing happened and continue on their way, feeling at the same time very annoyed and indignant about what happened.
