Nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en madres con niños de 3 - 5 años de edad, Víctor Larco - Trujillo 2017

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en madres con niños de 3-5 años de edad .Víctor Larco -Trujillo 2017. El estudio fue de tipo prospectivo, transversal, descriptivo y observacional constituido por una muestra de 220 madres con hijos de 3-5 años de edad del distrito de Víctor Larco las cuales fueron seleccionadas a través de un método no probabilístico, por conveniencia. A cada una de ellas se le realizó una evaluación (encuesta) en la que se empleó la Escala numérica para determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre de salud bucal. Para analizar la información se construyeron tablas de frecuencia de una y doble entrada con sus valores absolutos y relativos. Para generalizar el nivel de conocimiento a la población se construyeron intervalos de confianza al 95%. Los resultados mostraron que el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de las madres del distrito de Víctor Larco 2017 fue bueno; según edad en madres de 32 a 38 años fue bueno, según el grado de instrucción las madres con estudios técnico y/o superior presentaron un nivel de conocimiento bueno, según número de hijos las madres con 2 hijos presentaron nivel de conocimiento bueno, según tipo de Institución Educativa fue bueno en las madres de las I.E Privadas del nivel inicial. Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en madres con niños de 3-5 años de edad del distrito de Víctor Larco –Trujillo en el año 2017 fue Bueno.

The present study aimed to determine the level of knowledge about oral health in mothers with 3-5 year old children. Victor Larco -Trujillo 2017. The study was a prospective, transverse, descriptive and observational study consisting of a sample of 220 mothers with 3-5 year old children from the district of Víctor Larco who were selected through a non-probabilistic method, for convenience. Each one of them was evaluated (survey) in which the numerical scale was used to determine the level of knowledge about oral health. In order to analyze the information, one- and double-entry frequency tables were constructed with their absolute and relative values. 95% confidence intervals were constructed to generalize the level of knowledge to the population. The results showed that the level of knowledge about oral health of the mothers of the district of Víctor Larco 2017 was good; according to the age of mothers from 32 to 38 years old was good, according to the level of education mothers with technical and / or higher education presented a good level of knowledge, according to the number of children mothers with 2 children presented good knowledge level, according to type of Educational Institution was good in the EI Private mothers of the initial level. It is concluded that the level of knowledge about oral health in mothers with 3-5 year old children in the district of Víctor Larco-Trujillo in 2017 was good.
