Higiene oral y caries dental en alumnos de 10 a 12 años del colegio Daniel Alcides Carrión de La Esperanza - Trujillo en el año 2023.

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de higiene oral y caries dental en los alumnos del colegio “Daniel Alcides Carrión” de la Esperanza Trujillo 2023. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Se realizó un estudio prospectivo, transversal, descriptivo y observacional. Se evaluaron a 92 niños de 10 a 12 años de edad. A quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario válido y confiable de 10 preguntas y el llenado de odontograma. Resultados: Se obtuvo que el nivel de higiene oral en los estudiantes es de 54.3% buena, en el índice de CPOD es de 1.68. En género el 51.2% de sexo femenino alcanzo un nivel bueno, el CPOD alcanzó un nivel de 1.55 y el sexo masculino 57.1% nivel bueno y el CPOD alcanzo un valor de 1.79. En edades, el 60.7% la edad de 10 años, el 58.1% los niños de 12 años y el 45.5% de la edad de 11 años que todos son nivel bueno y en el índice de CPOD se obtuvo 1.92 los niños de 10 años, 1.57 los niños de 11 años y los niños de 12 años 1.58, en todos los casos serían nivel bajo según los niveles dados por la OMS. CONCLUSIONES: La Higiene Oral de los estudiantes es buena, al igual que el CPOD de todos los estudiantes, tienen prevalencia baja a caries dental

Determine the level of oral hygiene and dental caries in the students of the “Daniel Alcides Carrión” school in Esperanza Trujillo 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study was carried out. 92 children from 10 to 12 years of age were evaluated. To whom a valid and reliable questionnaire of 10 questions and the filling of an odontogram were applied. Results: It was obtained that the level of oral hygiene in the students is 54.3% good, in the CPOD index it is 1.68. In gender, 51.2% of the female sex reached a good level, the CPOD reached a level of 1.55 and the male sex 57.1% had a good level and the CPOD reached a value of 1.79. In ages, 60.7% the age of 10 years, 58.1% children of 12 years and 45.5% of the age of 11 years that all are good level and in the CPOD index 1.92 children of 10 years were obtained, 11-year-old children 1.57 and 12-year-old children 1.58, in all cases they would be low level according to the levels given by the WHO. CONCLUSIONS: The Oral Hygiene of the students is good, as well as the CPOD, all the students have a low prevalence of dental caries. KEY WORDS: Oral hygiene, dental caries, students
