Análisis del congestionamiento vial semaforizado en la intersección de la Avenida Villarreal y la Prolongación Unión, Trujillo, La Libertad

Abstract

El desarrollo productivo y monetario de nuestro país en los últimos años ha generado un gran porcentaje del incremento del parque automotriz, como consecuencia se ha visto reflejado en las horas pico un gran congestionamiento vehicular que viene afectando tanto a los peatones como conductores. La ciudad de Trujillo, en la Av. Villarreal con la prolongación unión no es ajeno al congestionamiento vehicular, es más; los tiempos de espera en los semáforos se ha visto afectado por el congestionamiento vehicular. Los óptimos resultados del nivel de servicio se consiguen con la intervención de todos los aspectos y componentes del sistema de transporte vial la cual en campo se pudo verificar que no cuenta con una apropiada señalización, calzada inservible, tiempos de los semáforos mal coordinados, falta de educación vial tanto a los peatones y conductores. Es de carácter necesario reorganizar todo el sistema de transporte vial y así ver medidas para ampliar la capacidad del transporte vial mediante el mejoramiento de la infraestructura. Se ha podido constatar también que la falta de control y planificación vial por parte del TMT (Transportes Metropolitanos de Trujillo), la situación de los trasportistas la cual no es muy sostenible económicamente, entre otros factores que se reflejan en el transporte urbano, la cual significa pérdida de tiempo en el tráfico para poder trasladarse de un punto a otro punto de la ciudad. En la presente tesis se evaluará la congestión vehicular y así determinar el nivel de servicio que se genera en las dos intersecciones ubicadas en la Av. Villarreal con la Prolongación Unión. El problema principal en estas intersecciones es el alto flujo de tráfico
