Tratamiento informativo en los diarios correo y la industria respecto al caso "escuadrón de la muerte"

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal describir el tratamiento informativo en los diarios Correo y La Industria respecto al caso “Es cuadrón de la Muerte”. Para ello, se utiliza la técnica de observación, y se analizan las portadas y notas internas de ambos diarios en los aspectos de forma y fondo. Asimismo, se hace uso de una ficha de observación, con indicadores y categorías específicas para las 143 portadas y 224 notas de ambos diarios. A través de la estadística descriptiva, la investigación concluye que hay similitudes de forma en el tratamiento de Correo y La Industria; por ejemplo, los titulares de tipo informativo en portada y en nota, la predominancia de la información en la paginación impar, la ubicación de la nota, etc. Sin embargo, existen marcadas diferencias respecto a fondo; en este sentido, la totalidad de notas en Correo tiene una valoración neutra de los personajes noticiosos a diferencia de La Industria, que en algunas ediciones emite valoraciones positivas y negativas.

The present investigation has as main objective to describe the information treatment in the newspapers Correo and La Industria regarding the case ““Escuadrón de la Muerte““. For this, the technique of observation is used, and the covers and internal notes of both newspapers are analyzed in the aspects of form and background. Likewise, use is made of an observation sheet, with indicators and specific categories for the 143 covers and 224 notes of both newspapers in total. Through the descriptive statistics, the research concludes that there are similarities of form in the treatment of Correo and La Industria, for example, headlines of informative type in cover and in note, the predominance of the information in the odd page, the location of the note, etc. Also there are marked differences with respect to the background, in this sense, the totality of notes in Correo has a neutral valuation of news characters unlike La Industria, which in some editions issues positive and negative ratings.
