| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | To demonstrate that obesity, primipaternity, multiparity,
prolonged birth range and history of early-onset preeclampsia are risk factors
for recurrent preeclampsia in Santa Rosa Hospital, Piura during the period
2012-2013.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: We performed an observational, analytical,
case-control, which evaluated 99 pregnant women which divided into two
groups, cases: 33 pregnant women with recurrent preeclampsia and controls:
66 pregnant women without recurrent preeclampsia.
RESULTS: The mean age for the cases group was 29,94 ± 4,99 years and for
the control group was 27,56 ± 4,45 years (p < 0,05). In regard to the risk
factors associated with recurrence of preeclampsia had to in the cases and
controls obesity was present in 24,24% and 15,15% respectively (p > 0.05)
(OR = 1,79 95 % [0,63 to 5,08]; multiparity in 48,48% and 18,18%
respectively (p < 0,01) (OR = 4,24 95% CI [1,68 to 10,69]; in the
primipaternity 39,39% and 13,64% respectively (p < 0,01) (OR = 4,12 95% CI
[1,53 to 11,09], the prolonged birth interval 51,52% and 15,15% respectively
(p < 0,001) (OR = 5,95 95% CI [2,28 to 15,52] and a history of early
preeclampsia in 30,30% and 0%, respectively (p < 0,001).
CONCLUSIONS: The multiparity, primipaternity, birth interval and
prolonged history of early preeclampsia were found to be risk factors
associated with recurrent preeclampsia. | en_US |
