Obesidad asociada a enfermedad renal crónica consultorio externo de medicina interna Hospital Lazarte Trujillo 2016

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar si existe asociación entre obesidad y enfermedad renal crónica en los pacientes del servicio de consultorio externo de Medicina Interna del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray de Trujillo en el año 2016.

Material y Método: Se llevó a cabo un estudio de tipo analítico, observacional, retrospectivo, de casos y controles. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 86 pacientes del servicio de consultorio externo de Medicina Interna; según criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos y distribuidos en dos grupos: con o sin enfermedad renal crónica

Resultados: De un total de 86 pacientes, la frecuencia de obesidad en pacientes con ERC y sin ERC fue 42% y 21% respectivamente. La obesidad está asociada a enfermedad renal crónica (p: 0,037; OR: 2,72; IC 95 % 1,05-7,04).

Conclusiones: La obesidad está asociada a enfermedad renal crónica en los pacientes del consultorio externo de Medicina Interna en el Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Trujillo 2016.

Objective: To determine if there is an association between obesity and Chronic Kidney Disease in patients of the external medicine service of the Internal Medicine of Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in Trujillo in 2016.

Material and Method: An analytical, observational, retrospective, case and control study was carried out. The study population consisted of 86 patients from the outpatient service of Internal Medicine; according to established inclusion and exclusion criteria distributed in two groups: with or without Chronic Kidney Disease

Results: Out of a total of 86 patients, the frequency of obesity in patients with CKD and without CKD was 42% and 21% respectively. Obesity is associated with chronic kidney disease (p: 0,037; OR: 2, 72; IC 95 % 1, 05-7, 04).

Conclusions: Obesity is associated with Chronic Kidney Disease in the patients of the Internal Medicine outpatient clinic in the Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Trujillo 2016.
