dc.description.abstract | El peso del recién nacido es el resultado de muchos factores, como el genético, el ambiental, los estilos de vida de la madre, el peso pregestacional y el aumento de peso durante el embarazo. Nuestro objetivo en el presente estudio, tiene como finalidad describir el índice de masa corporal pregestacional (IMC-P) y el peso del recién nacido (PRN) en gestantes del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue de la ciudad de Lima - Perú. El estudio realizado es observacional, descriptivo y retrospectivo, basado en el análisis secundario de la base de datos del Sistema Informático Perinatal (SIP) 2000. La muestra que se tomo es de tipo probabilístico, en el cual se analizaron 362 registros que cumplieron las características de inclusión y exclusión. Los resultados muestran que el promedio de edad es de 27,43 ± 6,3 años. Un 16% eran madres solteras, el 12,4% de ellas tenían educación primaria y un 00,3% eran analfabetas. Con un promedio de 2,79 ± 2,36 hijos por mujer y de 38,28 ± 2,36 semanas de embarazo. La anemia resulto ser la patología materna más prevalente con un 40,4%. El promedio del IMC-P fue de 26,10 ± 5,12. La prevalencia del estado nutricional materno según el IMC-P dio como resultado un 1,4% para bajo peso; 42,2% para peso normal; 37,5% para sobrepeso y un 18,9% para la obesidad. El promedio de PRN fue de 3299 ± 573 gramos. La prevalencia según los grupos de peso al nacer resultó ser de 1,4% para muy bajo peso al nacer; 4,7% para bajo peso al nacer; 85,4% para peso normal y un 8,6% para el grupo de macrosomía fetal. Se concluye que más de la mitad de mujeres empiezan su embarazo con sobrepeso y obesidad, por lo tanto, se debe enfatizar la promoción de vida saludable en mujeres en edad fértil. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Newborn weight is the result of many factors, such as genetic, environmental, lifestyle of the mother, pre-pregnancy weight, and weight gain during pregnancy. Our objective in the present study is to describe the pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI-P) and the newborn weight (NRP) in pregnant women from the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital in the city of Lima - Peru. The study carried out is observational, descriptive, cohort and retrospective, based on the secondary analysis of the database of the Perinatal Informatics System (SIP) 2000. The sample that was taken is probabilistic, in which 362 records that met the inclusion and exclusion characteristics. The results show that the average age is 27.43 ± 6.3 years. 16% were single mothers, 12.4% of them had primary education and 00.3% were illiterate. With an average of 2.79 ± 2.36 children per woman and 38.28 ± 2.36 weeks of pregnancy. Anemia turned out to be the most prevalent maternal pathology with 40.4%. The average BMI-P was 26.10 ± 5.12. The prevalence of maternal nutritional status according to BMI-P resulted in 1.4% for underweight; 42.2% for normal weight; 37.5% for overweight and 18.9% for obesity. The average PRN was 3299 ± 573 grams. The prevalence according to birth weight groups was 1.4% for very low birth weight; 4.7% for low birth weight; 85.4% for normal weight and 8.6% for the fetal macrosomia group. It is concluded that more than half of women start their pregnancy overweight and obese, therefore, the promotion of healthy life in women of childbearing age should be emphasized. | en_US |
