Impacto de la remuneración mínima vital sobre el nivel del empleo urbano del Perú durante el período 1997 – 2016

Abstract

El presente estudio “IMPACTO DE LA REMUNERACIÓN MÍNIMA VITAL SOBRE EL NIVEL DEL EMPLEO URBANO DEL PERÚ DURANTE EL PERIODO 1997-2016” tuvo como objetivo principal determinar el impacto entre la Remuneración Mínima Vital sobre el Nivel del Empleo Urbano del Perú durante el período 1997 - 2016. Para ello, primero se analizó el comportamiento de las variables de estudio en forma individual y aislada tomando en cuenta el contexto económico y social, para luego estimar modelos de regresión lineal por medio del método de mínimos cuadráticos ordinarios que cumplan con el test de significancia estadística.

Se consideró como población objeto de estudio los datos mensuales de las variables Remuneración Mínima Vital, el Nivel de Empleo Urbano y el índice del Producto Bruto Interno. Los resultados de la investigación han permitido determinar que existe evidencia empírica de una relación positiva entre la Remuneración Mínima Vital y el Nivel de empleo Urbano del Perú, durante el período 1997 – 2016.

The present study “IMPACT OF MINIMUM VIVAL REMUNERATION ON THE URBAN EMPLOYMENT LEVEL OF PERU DURING THE PERIOD 1997-2016”, had as main objective to determine the impact between the Minimum Vital Compensation on the Level of the Urban Employment of the Peru during the period 1997 - 2016. For this , We first analyzed the behavior of the study variables in an individual and isolated manner, taking into account the economic and social context, and then estimating linear regression models using the ordinary least squares method that meet the statistical significance test. The monthly data of the variables Vital Minimum Remuneration, the Urban Employment Level and the Gross Domestic Product index were considered as the target population. The results of the investigation have determined that there is empirical evidence of a positive relationship between the Minimum Vital Remuneration and the Urban Employment Level of Peru, during the period 1997 - 2016.
