dc.description.abstractDeterminar la prevalencia de caries dental empleando el sistema ICDAS, en el primer molar permanente en escolares de 6 a 12 años de la I.E.P “San Martin de Porres” e I.E.N N°80006. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio transversal descriptivo con una muestra de 210 escolares: 75 escolares de la institución educativa particular “San Martin de Porres” y 135 escolares de la institución educativa nacional N°80006. Como instrumento se usó la ficha ICDAS, el cual evaluó la primera molar permanente de cada escolar, colocando un puntaje del 0 al 6 según corresponde dicha ficha. Resultados: Se observó que el 82,4% de toda la población presentó caries dental, siendo la población femenina (42,4%) la de mayor porcentaje a comparación de la población masculina (40%). Conclusiones: Existe mayor prevalencia de caries en escolares de 7 y 10 años de edad con predominancia del género femenino.es_PE
dc.description.abstractTo determine the prevalence of dental caries using the ICDAS II system, in the first permanent molar in schoolchildren from 6 to 12 years of age from the I.E.P ““San Martín de Porres““ and I.E.N No. 80006. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out with a sample of 210 schoolchildren: 75 schoolchildren from the private educational institution “San Martín de Porres” and 135 schoolchildren from the national educational institution No. 80006. The ICDAS file was used as an instrument, the which evaluated the first permanent molar of each school, placing a score from 0 to 6 as appropriate. Results: It was determined that 82.4% of the entire population had dental caries, with the female population (42.4%) being the highest percentage compared to the male population (40%). Conclusions: There is a higher prevalence of caries in schoolchildren of 7 and 10 years of age with a predominance of the female gender.en_US
