Perfil clínico y adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con hipertiroidismo atendidos en el Hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia, Piura 2017-2018

Objetivo: Describir el perfil clínico y la adherencia en cuanto al tratamiento en pacientes
con hipertiroidismo atendidos en el hospital III-1 “JOSE CAYETANO HEREDIA” PIURA
2017-2018. Metodología: Estudio tipo censal de tipo observacional, descriptivo de tipo
retrospectivo, con análisis de datos secundarios en pacientes con Hipertiroidismo atendidos
en el hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia 2017- 2018. Resultados: Entre los años 2017 y
2018 se encontraron 79 casos de pacientes con hipotiroidismo; de los cuales el 59.5% fueron
del sexo femenino (47 casos); estreñimientos además de la fatiga se encontraron en el
78.48% de los casos encontrados (62 casos). Las principales causas de deserción
encontramos un 20.25% de los pacientes (16 de los casos) abandona el tratamiento por
desaparición de los signos/síntomas así también 15 de los pacientes (18.98%) abandonan el
tratamiento por causar mayor efecto en los síntomas y/o mayor malestar que sin el
tratamiento. Conclusiones: Se encontraron un total de 79 casos y las principales causas de
deserción fueron el abandono por mayor malestar de los síntomas, así como olvido de toma
del fármaco y resolución parcial de síntomas. Objective: To describe the clinical profile and adherence regarding treatment in patients
with hyperthyroidism treated in hospital III-1 “JOSE CAYETANO HEREDIA” PIURA
2017-2018. Methodology: Census type study of observational type, retrospective
descriptive type, with secondary data analysis in patients with hyperthyroidism treated in
hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia 2017-2018. Results: Between 2017 and 2018, 79 cases
of patients with hypothyroidism; of which 59.5% were female (47 cases); Constipations in
addition to fatigue were found in 78.48% of the cases found (62 cases). The main causes of
attrition were 20.25% of the patients (16 of the cases) leave the treatment due to the
disappearance of the signs / symptoms, as well as 15 of the patients (18.98%) leave the
treatment because they have a greater effect on the symptoms and / or more discomfort than
without treatment. Conclusions: A total of 79 cases were found and the main causes of
attrition were abandonment due to greater discomfort of the symptoms, as well as forgetting
to take the drug and partial resolution of symptoms.
