Propuesta del sistema de drenaje pluvial urbano del distrito de Iquitos

Abstract

Iquitos es una ciudad localizada en la provincia de Maynas, en selva peruana. La selva se caracteriza principalmente por su clima, en donde las lluvias son bastante comunes según la época del año. Como es lógico, durante las temporadas de lluvia Iquitos se ve afectada por éstas. Para que las lluvias no sean un problema, es necesario que se construya un drenaje pluvial para la disposición de las aguas pluviales que se depositan en la ciudad. Sin embargo, el sistema de drenaje que Iquitos presenta es un sistema combinado, que intenta drenar aguas residuales y pluviales, y dada la cantidad de agua pluvial que se puede depositar, el sistema actual no es suficiente para el correcto drenaje, por lo que ocurren inundaciones cuando una lluvia supera la capacidad del sistema. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es proponer un sistema de drenaje pluvial que se encargue de drenar correctamente las aguas pluviales que se depositan en el área de estudio, para ello se busca realizar estudios para poder diseñar el sistema, empleando un modelamiento por computadora. Con la simulación del comportamiento del sistema propuesto, se busca demostrar que la implementación de este nuevo sistema propuesto beneficiaría al sector de Iquitos para el cual se está diseñando, tanto como a la infraestructura de la ciudad como a la población que se ve afectada

Iquitos is a city located in the province of Maynas, in the Peruvian jungle. The jungle is characterized mainly by its climate, where rains are quite common according to the time of the year. Naturally, during the rainy seasons Iquitos is affected by them. So that the rains are not a problem, it is necessary that a storm drain be built for the disposal of the rainwater that is deposited in the city. However, the drainage system that Iquitos presents is a combined system, which attempts to drain sewage and rainwater, and given the amount of rainwater that can be deposited, the current system is not sufficient for proper drainage, so they occur floods when rain exceeds system capacity. The main objective of this work is to propose a rain drainage system that is responsible for draining the rainwater that is deposited in the study area correctly, for this purpose, studies are being carried out to be able to design the system, using computer modeling. With the simulation of the behavior of the proposed system, it is sought to demonstrate that the implementation of this new proposed system would benefit the Iquitos sector for which it is being designed, as well as the infrastructure of the city and the population that is affected.
