| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | The main objective of the research work is to carry out the study of water supply
applying Lutz Sholz model and calculation of the sediment contribution of the Colloche
river basin to optimize reservoir with gravity dam-Santiago De Chuco.
The importance of our research is based on the fact that every project to take advantage
of the water resource for irrigation considers an infrastructure that allows sustaining
and strengthening the agricultural productive capacity of an area, which gives it the
character of a productive project and is rational because it seeks the efficient and
economic use of the water resource in the improvement of irrigation of a given area for
cultivation, which should be based on a hydrological study to determine the
contribution flows of the river basin based on historical record of hydrometric and
rainfall data, which guarantee that with the application of mathematical models there
will be satisfactory results close to the reality of the area.
The investigation considers the application of the mathematical model applying Lutz
Sholz model, this hydrological model, is combined because it has a deterministic
structure for the calculation of the monthly flows for the average year (Water Balance
- Deterministic Model) and a stochastic structure for the generation of extended flow
series (Markovian Process - Stochastic Model). It was developed by the expert Lutz
Scholz for basins of the Peruvian highlands, between 1979-1980, within the framework
of Technical Cooperation of the Republic of Germany through the Meris Plan.
For the development of the thesis, basic engineering studies have been carried out as
topographic in the reservoir area of the Colloche River considering the location of the
dam axis, analysis of rainfall record of the stations near the basin under study,
morphological characteristics of the basin, determination of water supply flows
applying mathematical models rainfall runoff Lutz Scholtz. With the generated flows
and the monthly demand flows, the water balance has been made, obtaining the useful
VII
volume for the reservoir that is needed for the Colloche Dam. Applying different
criteria, the volume of sediments that the basin can provide has been calculated,
achieving with this the total reservoir volume and, according to the topography,
determining the levels and height of the dam, considering a practical height of
maximum avenue of 0.75m and as 1m free margin, thus optimizing the reservoir in the
Colloche River for a gravity dam with a height of 26m, Useful volume = 1.0028MMC,
Dead Volume = 0.0642 MMC and Total reservoir volume = 1.067 MMC. | en_US |
