Minería y pobreza en las regiones la Libertad, Ancash y Cajamarca, periodo: 2009 - 2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el impacto del aporte económico minero en los niveles de pobreza de las regiones de La Libertad, Áncash y Cajamarca, 2009-2019. La investigación fue de tipo descriptiva; basada en la recopilación de investigaciones, en donde explican la relación significativa entre el aporte económico minero y el comportamiento de los índices de pobreza, esta investigación busca evaluar la hipótesis de que la actividad del sector minero medido como el aporte económico minero impacta de forma negativa en la pobreza en las regiones de La Libertad, Ancash y Cajamarca en el período 2009 - 2019. Se recopilaron datos anuales el aporte económico minero y pobreza (grupo de departamentos con incidencias de pobreza (total o extrema) semejantes estadísticamente), así como de las variables de control, para luego realizar un análisis econométrico, estimando un modelo de datos panel. Este modelo nos permitió analizar la información con la que se contó, además de considerar las características individuales de cada sector y como estas influyen en el crecimiento del Perú. Por medio de esta estimación econométrica se concluye que existe una correlación positiva entre la actividad minera y la pobreza. En la estimación planteada se demostró que el nivel de correlación de las variables en conjunto ascendía a un 89.7%, lo que demuestra la gran importancia que el sector minero tiene a nivel de agregados económicos.

The objective of this research work was to determine the impact of the mining economic contribution on poverty levels in the regions of La Libertad, Áncash and Cajamarca, 2009-2019. The research was descriptive; Based on the collection of research, where they explain the significant relationship between the mining economic contribution and the behavior of poverty indices, this research seeks to evaluate the hypothesis that the activity of the mining sector measured as the mining economic contribution impacts negatively in poverty in the regions of La Libertad, Ancash and Cajamarca in the period 2009 -2019. Annual data were collected on the economic contribution to mining and poverty (a group of departments with statistically similar incidences of poverty (total or extreme)), as well as the control variables, to then perform an econometric analysis, estimating a panel data model. This model allowed us to analyze the information available, in addition to considering the individual characteristics of each sector and how they influence the growth of Peru. Through this econometric estimation, it is concluded that there is a positive correlation between mining activity and poverty. In the estimation proposed, it was shown that the level of correlation of the variables as a whole amounted to 89.7%, which shows the great importance that the mining sector has at the level of economic aggregates.
