Abstract

El ""Centro de bienestar animal canino y felino basado en su integración con la naturaleza para la sensibilización de la población"" surge como respuesta a la problemática de abandono y maltrato animal en Trujillo, así como a la falta de espacios adecuados para su cuidado y rehabilitación. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo principal diseñar una infraestructura que integre elementos naturales para fomentar la convivencia responsable y sensibilizar sobre el bienestar animal. La metodología empleada incluyó un diagnóstico situacional para identificar necesidades específicas de animales y usuarios, una investigación programática que definió la ubicación ideal y la distribución funcional de los espacios. Este proceso abarcó la elaboración de planos detallados, la selección de materiales sostenibles y la aplicación de criterios constructivos que priorizan la seguridad y funcionalidad. Además, el diseño integra áreas recreativas pasivas y activas, junto con espacios educativos y flexibles, mejorando la calidad de vida de los animales y enriqueciendo la experiencia de los visitantes. Como resultado, el proyecto no solo cumple con ser un refugio, sino que se convierte en un modelo educativo y social, fortaleciendo el vínculo entre personas, naturaleza y arquitectura, al tiempo que promueve la preservación ambiental y fomenta una convivencia responsable entre la población.

The “Canine and feline animal welfare center based on their integration with nature to raise awareness among the population” arises as a response to the problem of animal abandonment and mistreatment in Trujillo, as well as the lack of adequate spaces for their care and rehabilitation. The main objective of this project is to design an infrastructure that integrates natural elements to promote responsible coexistence and raise awareness about animal welfare. The methodology employed included a situational diagnosis to identify specific needs of animals and users, a programmatic investigation that defined the ideal location and functional distribution of the spaces. This process included the preparation of detailed plans, the selection of sustainable materials, and the application of construction criteria that prioritized safety and functionality. In addition, the design integrates passive and active recreational areas, along with educational and flexible spaces, enhancing the animals' quality of life and enriching the visitors' experience. As a result, the project not only serves as a refuge, but also becomes an educational and social model, strengthening the bond between people, nature and architecture, while promoting environmental preservation and encouraging responsible coexistence among the population.
