Evidencias de validez de la escala de resiliencia de Wagnild y Young en inmigrantes venezolanos residentes en Trujillo

Abstract

Se establecieron las evidencias de validez en la Escala de Resiliencia de Wagnild y Young en inmigrantes venezolanos residentes en Trujillo. El diseño de investigación fue tecnológico psicométrico. Asimismo, la muestra fue constituida por 297 inmigrantes venezolanos, 178 hombres y 119 mujeres entre las edades de 17 a 35 años. Con respecto a los resultados del análisis factorial confirmatorio, se establece un adecuado ajuste de la estructura factorial de 5 dimensiones, obteniendo como índice de ajuste global un valor de 2.052; mostrando correlación entre los ítems de cada factor. También, los índices de ajuste IFI, GFI, AGFI y CFI tienen un adecuado nivel con valores de 0.886, 0.902, 0.879 y 0.867. Además, se obtuvieron baremos percentilares generales en todas las dimensiones, debido a la no evidencia de diferencias significativas según las variables sexo y edad en la mayoría de dimensiones. Luego se establecieron los puntos de corte según niveles de bajo, medio y alto. Finalmente, se obtuvo la confiabilidad mediante consistencia interna de alfa de Cronbach, teniendo como valor de alfa 0.789 en la escala general.

The validity evidences were established in the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale in Venezuelan immigrants residing in Trujillo. The research design was technological psychometric. Likewise, the sample consisted of 297 Venezuelan immigrants, 178 men and 119 women between the ages of 17 to 35 years. Regarding the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, an adequate adjustment of the factorial structure of 5 dimensions is established, obtaining a value of 2,052 as a global adjustment index; showing correlation between the items of each factor. Also, the IFI, GFI, AGFI and CFI adjustment indices have an adequate level with values of 0.886, 0.902, 0.879 and 0.867. Furthermore, general percentile scales were obtained in all dimensions, due to the lack of evidence of significant differences according to the sex and age variables in most dimensions. Then the cut-off points were established according to low, medium and high levels. Finally, the reliability was obtained by internal consistency of Cronbach's alpha, having an alpha value of 0.789 in the general scale.
