Nivel de conocimiento en estudiantes de Estomatología de UPAO sobre contaminación microbiana causada por aerosoles, durante la pandemia, Trujillo 2020

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento en estudiantes de estomatología de UPAO sobre contaminación microbiana causada por aerosoles, durante la pandemia, Trujillo 2020. Materiales y Método: El trabajo de investigación fue prospectivo, transversal, descriptivo y observacional. Se evaluaron a 76 estudiantes de la carrera de estomatología de séptimo, octavo, noveno y décimo ciclo de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, aplicándoseles un cuestionario virtual de selección múltiple sobre contaminación microbiana por aerosoles dentales, Dicho cuestionario constó de 12 preguntas, el cuestionario fue sometido a valoración por juicio de expertos medido por el alfa de Cronbach, siendo en el nivel de conocimiento confiable (α=0.765). Resultados: Se observó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre contaminación microbiana causada por aerosoles de los alumnos estuvo en un nivel bueno con69.7%, el 27.6% en un nivel regular y solo un 2.6% en un nivel de malo. Se determinó según ciclo de estudio que los alumnos que presentaron un mejor nivel de conocimiento fueron los de VIII Y IX ciclo, ambos en un 83.3%. Y según género se determinó que los estudiantes de sexo femenino obtuvieron un porcentaje mayor de 73.9%. Conclusión: Se concluyó en que el nivel de conocimiento de estudiantes de estomatología sobre contaminación microbiana a causa de aerosoles fue predominantemente bueno.

The objective of the study has been to determinate the level about the knowwledge in Upao dentistry students about microbial contamination caused by aerosols , during the global pandemic in Trujillo , 2020. Materials and Method: The research work has consisted of aprospective, transversal, descriptive and observational study design. 76 students fromseventh,eighth , ninth and tenth cycle of the dentistry faculty to the Antenor Orrego Private University were evaluated applying during the development of the study execution a multiple-choice virtual questionnaire about microbial contamination caused by dental aerosols.This questionnaire consisted of 12 questions , the questionnaire was subjected to evaluation by an expert judgment group measured by cronbach’s alpha , it was found that the level of knowledge was reliable (α = 0.765). Result: It was found that the student’s level of knowledge about microbial contamination caused by aerosols was at a good level, getting a 69.7%. A 27.6% was found it as a regular level, and just the 2.6% got a bad level about the study. It was determinate according to the study cycle that the students from the VIII and IX cycle had gained a better level of knowledge, both got the 83%, according to gender , it was determinated that female students had obtained a higher percentage, the 73.9%. Conclusion: It was concluded that the level of knowledge of dentistry students about microbial contamination caused by aerosols was predominantly good.
