Fatiga y afrontamiento de mujeres con cáncer de mama sometidas a quimioterapia de un Hospital de Chiclayo, 2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de fatiga y el nivel afrontamiento de mujeres con cáncer de mama sometidas a quimioterapia del Hospital Regional Lambayeque- Chiclayo, fue de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 mujeres con cáncer de mama de la unidad oncológica del Hospital Regional Lambayeque de Chiclayo. La hipótesis de investigación fue que existe relación entre el nivel de fatiga y el nivel de afrontamiento de mujeres con cáncer de mama, para ello se empleó dos instrumentos, el de fatiga y el de nivel de afrontamiento, quienes obtuvieron la confiabilidad de 0.92 y 0.88 respectivamente, en todo momento se aplicó los principios éticos. Se obtuvo como resultado que del 100% de mujeres con cáncer de mama encuestadas, el 80% tuvo un mediano nivel de fatiga, el 12% un alto nivel y el 4% presentó un bajo nivel; con respecto a la variable nivel de afrontamiento, se obtuvo que el 66% de mujeres presentó un mediano nivel de afrontamiento, el 30% un alto nivel y el 4% presentó un bajo nivel de afrontamiento, así también se determinó que no existe relación significativa entre las variables fatiga y el nivel de afrontamiento (P=0.279).

The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the level of fatigue and the coping of women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy at Lambayeque-Chiclayo Regional Hospital, it was quantitative, descriptive, correlational type of cross-section. The sample consisted of 50 women with breast cancer from the oncology unit of the Lambayeque Regional Hospital in Chiclayo. The research hypothesis was that there is a relationship between the level of fatigue and the coping of women with breast cancer, for this two instruments were used, that of cancer related fatigue and coping, who obtained the reliability of 0.92 and 0.88 respectively, ethical principles were applied at all times. It was obtained as a result that of the 100% of women with breast cancer surveyed, 80% had a medium level of fatigue, 12% a high level and 4% had a low level, with respect to coping 66% of women obtained a medium level of coping, 30% a high level and 4% presented a low level of coping, so it was also determined that there is no significant relationship between the level of fatigue and the level of coping (P = 0.279 ) for which psychosocial, personality and religion factors.
