Estudio comparativo del diseño estructural de pavimento en la tercera etapa del sector de Manuel Arévalo – La Esperanza – Trujillo – La Libertad

Abstract

La presente tesis titulada: ‘‘Estudio comparativo del diseño estructural de pavimento en la tercera etapa del sector Manuel Arévalo – La Esperanza – Trujillo – La Libertad’’ busca realizar el estudio comparativo en el diseño estructural del pavimento flexible, semirrígido y rígido, para elaborar esto hicimos uso de la metodología AASHTO 93 y la guía señala en el Manual de Carreteras por el MTC 2014, que nos permiten realizar las diferentes propuestas de diseño estructural de pavimento presentadas en el desarrollo de la investigación. La problemática presentada nos indica que la Avenida ‘‘F’’ correspondiente a la tercera etapa del sector Manuel Arévalo, no cuenta con una estructura de pavimento adecuada en su totalidad y las estructuras de pavimento existentes en pequeños tramos se encuentran en pésimas no pudiendo prestar un correcto servicio de transitabilidad que necesita la zona de estudio, la cual presenta una alta demanda vehicular conformado en su mayoría por vehículos ligeros como automóviles y camionetas así como vehículos pesados como microbuses y camiones. En análisis de la problemática que aqueja la zona de estudio se optó por proponer un diseño estructural de pavimento sujetado a un estudio comparativo, esto comprende en la realización del estudio de tráfico en el área a evaluar, estudio de mecánica de suelos de la zona de estudio y el diseño del paquete estructural de pavimento flexible, semirrígido y rígido usando la metodología AASHTO 93 y la elaboración de la propuesta económica correspondiente a cada diseño; todo esto realizado con la ayuda de programas especializados que determinan con exactitud y fiabilidad los resultados. Finalmente, con esta investigación buscamos brindar una adecuada y eficiente propuesta de diseño estructural de pavimento que pueda solucionar la problemática de la zona de estudio en cuestión.

This thesis entitled: “ Comparative study of the structural design of pavement in the third stage of the Manuel Arévalo - La Esperanza - Trujillo - La Libertad sector “ seeks to carry out a comparative study for the structural design of flexible, semi-rigid and rigid pavement, to elaborate this we made use of the AASHTO 93 methodology and the recommendations of the “ Highways Manual: Soils, Geology, Geotechnics and Pavements - Soil and Pavement Section - RD N ° 10 - 2014 - MTC / 14 ’’ which allow us to carry out the different proposals for structural pavement design presented in the development of this research work. The problem presented indicates that Avenida “ F “ corresponding to the third stage of the Manuel Arévalo sector, does not have an adequate pavement structure in its entirety and the existing pavement structures in small sections are in terrible condition and cannot provide a correct walkability service that the study area needs, which presents a high vehicular demand made up mostly of light vehicles such as cars and trucks as well as heavy vehicles such as minibuses and trucks. In the analysis of the problems that affect the study area, it was decided to propose a structural design of the pavement subject to a comparative study, this includes the study of traffic in the study area, the study of soil mechanics of the same, the design of the flexible, semi-rigid and rigid pavement structural package using the AASHTO 93 methodology and the elaboration of the economic proposal corresponding to each design; all this done with the help of specialized programs that accurately and reliably determine the results. Finally, with this research we seek to provide an adequate and efficient proposal for a structural pavement design that can solve the problem of the study area in question.
