Nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal de las estudiantes de Educación Secundaria de la I.E. María Negrón Ugarte - Trujillo, 2020

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal de las estudiantes de Educación Secundaria de la I.E. María Negrón Ugarte – Trujillo, 2020. Material y métodos: El estudio fue formado por 182 estudiantes a quienes se las encuestó para determinar el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal. Para analizar la información se construyeron tablas de frecuencia de doble entrada con sus valores absolutos y relativos, además, de porcentajes y totales. Para generalizar el nivel de conocimiento a la muestra y determinar si había diferencia entre el nivel de conocimiento entre el grado y la edad se empleó la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado con un nivel de significancia de p= >0.05. Resultados: El nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal fue bajo con un 56%. Según edad, se observó que las estudiantes de 1er y 2do grado entre los 12 años y 13 años, en la mayoría tienen un nivel bajo (28% y 24%) y regular (19% y 16%) respectivamente. Así mismo, no se observó diferencia significativa entre los grupos (p= 0.794>0.05). Y según grado de estudios se observó que las estudiantes se encontraron en un nivel bajo, con 41% en 1er grado y en 2do grado con un nivel bajo (15%) y regular (13%). Además, no se observó diferencia significativa entre los grupos (p= 0.572>0.05). Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal de las estudiantes de educación secundaria de la I.E. María Negrón Ugarte – Trujillo en el año 2020 fue bajo.

To determine the level of knowledge in oral health of the students of Secondary Education of the I.E. María Negrón Ugarte - Trujillo, 2020. Material and methods: The study consisted of 182 students who were surveyed to determine the level of knowledge in oral health. To analyze the information, double-entry frequency tables were constructed with their absolute and relative values, as well as percentages and totals. To generalize the level of knowledge to the sample and determine if there was a difference between the level of knowledge between grade and age, the Chi square statistical test was used with a level of significance of p => 0.05. Results: The level of knowledge in oral health was low with 56%. According to age, it was observed that 1st and 2nd grade students between 12 and 13 years old, most of them have a low level (28% and 24%) and fair (19% and 16%) respectively. Likewise, no significant difference was observed between the groups (p = 0.794> 0.05). And according to the degree of studies, it was observed that the students were at a low level, with 41% in 1st grade and in 2nd grade with a low level (15%) and regular (13%). Furthermore, no significant difference was observed between the groups (p = 0.572> 0.05). Conclusion: The level of knowledge in oral health of the secondary school students of the I.E. María Negrón Ugarte - Trujillo in 2020 was low.
