dc.description.abstractDeterminar si la disglucemia es un factor de riesgo de complicaciones postoperatorias en pacientes con abdomen agudo quirúrgico. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico de cohortes retrospectivas, evaluando un total de 184 pacientes con abdomen agudo, distribuidos en dos grupos de 92 pacientes cada uno, atendidos en el Servicio de Trauma y Cirugía General del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo durante el periodo comprendido entre enero 2015 y diciembre del 2019. Resultados: La edad promedio y la proporción de varones en la cohorte con y sin disglicemia fueron 58,05 ± 16,40, 39,13% y 54,12 ± 15,76, 45,65% respectivamente. La proporción de complicaciones postoperatorias en las cohortes con y sin disglicemia fueron 75% y 56,52% (p = 0,008); los tipos de complicaciones fueron ISO (23,91% y 14,13%, p = 0,091; absceso residual 19,56% vs 11,96%, p = 0,157; dehiscencia de herida 23,91% y 7,61%, p = 0,002; ITU 30,43% y 4,35%, p = 0,001, reintervenciones 25% y 10,87%, p = 0,012). Conclusiones: La disglicemia está asociada a complicaciones postoperatorias, específicamente a dehiscencia de la herida operatoria, ITU y reintervenciones, con tendencia a la presencia de ISOes_PE

Materials and Methods: An observational, analytical retrospective cohort study was performed, evaluating a total of 184 patients with acute abdomen, distributed in two groups of 92 patients each, attended in the Trauma and General Surgery Service of the Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo during the period between January 2015 and December 2019. Results: The mean age and proportion of males in the cohort with and without dysglycemia were 58.05 ± 16.40, 39.13% and 54.12 ± 15.76, 45.65% respectively. The proportion of postoperative complications in the cohorts with and without dysglycemia were 75% and 56.52% (p = 0.008); the types of complications were ISO (23.91% and 14.13%, p = 0.091; residual abscess 19.56% vs 11.96%, p = 0.157; wound dehiscence 23.91% and 7.61%, p = 0.002; UTI 30.43% and 4.35%, p = 0.001, re-interventions 25% and 10.87%, p = 0.012). Conclusions: Dysglycemia is associated with postoperative complications, specifically wound dehiscence, UTI and reinterventions, with a tendency to the presence of ISO.en_US
