Evaluación de la vulnerabilidad sísmica aplicando el método del ATC–21 en las viviendas del centro histórico de Huamachuco, provincia Sánchez Carrión, departamento La Libertad

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como propósito fundamental, evaluar el nivel de la vulnerabilidad sísmica ante el efecto de un sismo en las viviendas del centro histórico de Huamachuco, provincia Sánchez Carrión, departamento La Libertad. Para este caso se aplicará el método del ATC-21 en todas las viviendas presentes en el centro histórico de Huamachuco. Este método consiste en un filtro de peligros sísmicos potenciales en edificaciones existentes. Es un método que consiste en parametrizar detalles arquitectónicos y estructurales estimables a simple vista. Para está investigación se evaluaron 84 viviendas del centro histórico de Huamachuco, en las cuales se utilizó las plantillas del ATC-21, donde se resume las características de la vivienda, sus irregularidades, el tipo del suelo, posteriormente se procesó toda la información en el trabajo de gabinete, hallándose los índices de vulnerabilidad y la probabilidad de falla. También se determinó que mayoría de las viviendas del centro histórico de Huamachuco son informales, carecen de diseño arquitectónico y estructural. Además, se construyen con materiales de muy baja calidad y generalmente son construidos por personas que no poseen un conocimiento técnico ni los medios necesarios para hacer una construcción de calidad.

The main purpose of this research is to assess the level of seismic vulnerability to the effect of an earthquake in the homes of the historical center of Huamachuco, province of Sánchez Carrión, department of La Libertad. In this case, the ATC-21 method will be applied in all the dwellings present in the historic center of Huamachuco. This method consists of a filter of potential seismic hazards in existing buildings. It is a method that consists of parameterizing architectural and structural details that can be seen with the naked eye. For this investigation, 84 houses in the historic center of Huamachuco were evaluated, in which the ATC-21 templates were used, which summarizes the characteristics of the house, its irregularities, the type of soil, later all the information was processed in the Cabinet work, finding the vulnerability indices and the probability of failure. It was also determined that most of the houses in the historic center of Huamachuco are informal, lacking architectural and structural design. In addition, they are built with very low-quality materials and are generally built by people who do not have the technical knowledge or the necessary means to make a quality construction.
