Uso de los docentes de la plataforma Canvas y el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la escuela de administración de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo, 2021

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación que existe entre el uso de los docentes de la plataforma Canvas y el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la escuela de administración de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo en el año 2021. Se trató de una investigación del tipo básica, de enfoque cualitativo, diseño no experimental de corte transversal correlacional simple. De este modo, se estableció el grado de asociación en base al método hipotético deductivo y la estadística descriptiva (tablas y frecuencias) e inferencial (contrastación de hipótesis). Su muestra por conveniencia estuvo conformada por 30 docentes de la escuela de administración y para medir las variables se utilizaron como instrumento dos cuestionarios adaptados de Valdivia (2020) para la primera variable y de Castejón et al. (2013) para la segunda variable, los mismos que fueron validados a través del juicio de expertos y que obtuvieron un coeficiente de la V de Aiken 0.89 y 0.94 respectivamente para cada variable, de este modo y por ser mayores a 0.7 ambos son válidos. De igual forma, la confiabilidad se obtuvo al realizar una prueba piloto aplicada a 29 docentes de la institución y los coeficientes de Alfa de Cronbach fueron 0.97 y 0.96 respectivamente para cada variable y por ser mayores a 0.7 se determinó que fueron confiables para su aplicación. La estadística descriptiva indicó que tanto el grado de uso de los docentes la plataforma Canvas y el proceso de aprendizaje fueron eficientes con una valoración de 86.7% y 76.7% respectivamente. Además, para la estadística inferencial se utilizó la prueba de normalidad de Shapiro - Wilk a través de la cual se concluyó que los datos no siguen una distribución normal y por lo tanto se empleó la prueba no paramétrica Tau - b de Kendall, donde se obtuvo un nivel de significancia de 0,012, reflejando que existe correlación positiva alta (0,711) entre ambas variables. Finalmente, se pudo concluir que existe una relación positiva alta entre el uso de los docentes de la plataforma Canvas y el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la escuela de administración de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo al año 2021.

The main goal of this research was to determine the relationship between the teachers' use of the Canvas platform and the learning process of the students of the school of administration of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego of Trujillo in the year 2021. This was a basic type of research, with a qualitative approach, non experimental design of simple cross-sectional correlation. Thus, the degree of association was established based on the hypothetical deductive method and descriptive statistics (tables and frequencies) and inferential statistics (construction of hypotheses). Its sample by convenience was made up of 30 teachers from the school of administration and to measure the variables, two questionnaires adapted from Valdivia (2020) for the first variable and from Castejón et al. (2013) for the second variable were used as instruments, which were validated through the judgment of experts and obtained a coefficient of Aiken's V of 0.89 and 0.94 respectively for each variable, in this way and for being greater than 0.70, both are valid. Similarly, reliability was obtained by conducting a pilot test applied to 29 teachers of the institution and the Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were 0.97 and 0.96 respectively for each variable and for being greater than 0.7 it was determined that they were reliable for their application. The descriptive statistics indicated that both the degree of use of the Canvas platform by teachers and the learning process were efficient with a valuation of 86.7% and 76.7% respectively. In addition, for inferential statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used, through which it was concluded that the data did not follow a normal distribution and therefore the nonparametric Kendall's Tau-b test was used, where a significance level of 0.012 was obtained, reflecting that there is a very high positive correlation (0.711) between both variables. Finally, it was possible to conclude that there is a very high positive relationship between the use of the Canvas platform by teachers and the learning process of the students of the school of administration of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego of Trujillo in the year 2021
