dc.description.abstractObjetivo: “Determinar si el uso inadecuado de redes sociales es un factor asociado a ansiedad en estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, durante el periodo 2020-2021 de la pandemia COVID-19. Material y métodos: “Se llevó a cabo un estudio analítico, transversal en el cual se incluyeron a 269 estudiantes inscritos en la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, durante el periodo 2020-2021, que cumplían con los criterios de selección”, a los cuales se le realizaron 2 encuestas: la Escala Autoevaluada de Ansiedad de Zung y el cuestionario de uso de redes sociales de Escurra, los resultados se analizaron con el uso de estadística descriptiva donde se empleó frecuencias y porcentajes para las variables cualitativas; y estadística analítica se hizo usando la prueba de Chi cuadrado, para valorar la asociación de las 2 variables estudiadas se calculó el OR, para así responder a los objetivos del estudio. Resultados: ““se evidencia que la proporción de uso inadecuado de redes sociales en los estudiantes universitarios que presentaron ansiedad fue de 95,2%, y que el uso inadecuado de redes sociales (p<0,001; OR=34,9; IC95% [11,7 - 104.2]) y el haber tenido diagnóstico previo de ansiedad (p<0,001; OR=5,5 IC 95% [2,7 - 11,6]) estuvieron independientemente asociados a ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios durante el periodo 2020-2021 de la pandemia COVID-19”. Conclusión: El uso inadecuado de redes sociales es un factor asociado a ansiedad en estudiantes de medicina durante el periodo 2020-2021 de la pandemia COVID-19.”es_PE
dc.description.abstractObjective: ““Determine if the inappropriate use of social networks is a factor associated with anxiety in medical students at the Antenor Orrego Private University, during the 2020-2021 period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and methods: ““An analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out in which 269 students enrolled in the Faculty of Human Medicine of the Antenor Orrego Private University were included, during the period 2020-2021, who met the selection criteria “, to which 2 surveys were carried out: the Zung Self-Assessed Anxiety Scale and the Escurra questionnaire on the use of social networks. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics where frequencies and percentages were used for the qualitative variables; and analytical statistics was done using the Chi square test, to assess the association of the 2 variables studied, the OR was calculated, in order to respond to the objectives of the study. Results: “They show that the proportion of inappropriate use of social networks in university students who presented anxiety was 95.2%, and that the inappropriate use of social networks (p<0.001; OR=34.9; IC95% [11.7- 104.2]) and having had a previous anxiety diagnosis (p<0.001; OR=5.5 IC 95% [2.7 - 11.6]) were independently associated with anxiety in university students during the COVID-19 pandemic”.
