| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | The cerebral vascular event (ECV) ischemic is the leading cause of disability and second leading cause of death worldwide, is closely related their appearance and torpid with the existence of risk factors, mortality at 30 days ECV ischemic is among 10 and 17%. Treatment guidelines recommend the use of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator in the first 3 hours of the onset of symptoms. In this observational, longitudinal, descriptive, analytical work study morbidity and mortality and critical times for thrombolysis in patients with ischemic ECV diagnosis between January 2013 - December 2015 found that the disease had higher incidence in the 7th. and the 8th. decades of life, the most common risk factors were hypertension and smoking, the protocols were not adequately met by multiple causes; Delays were observed at critical times of arrival at hospital, clinical and tomographic evaluation, assessment by a neurologist and thrombolysis. 150 patients with ischemic stroke, 12 (8%) completed their assessment before 180 minutes. Only 6 patients (4%) received thrombolysis. In both groups (less than 180 minutes more than 180 minutes), the main delay was the assessment by the neurologist. The days of hospital stay were lower in patients with arrival and hospital assessment earlier, the benefit is even higher in patients who received thrombolysis where survival was 100% with complete recovery without sequelae. | en_US |
