Valor del índice de líquido amniótico como predictor de Apgar bajo al nacer en neonatos del hospital regional docente de Trujillo durante el periodo 2012 - 2014.

Abstract

Determinar si el índice de líquido amniótico tiene valor como predictor de Apgar bajo al nacer en neonatos del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo.

Material y métodos: Estudio de pruebas diagnósticas, retrospectivo, observacional, en 40 neonatos. Se calculó la sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y negativo. Se aplicó el test de chi cuadrado y área bajo la curva.

Resultados: El mejor punto de corte del Índice de líquido amniótico para predecir Apgar bajo al nacer fue 60 milímetros correspondiéndole una sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y negativo de 80%, 75%, 76% y 80%; respectivamente. El área bajo la curva fue de 0.86.

Conclusiones: El punto de corte de 60 milímetros para el Índice de líquido amniótico ofrece el mejor perfil predictivo con gran significancia estadística para Apgar bajo al nacer en neonatos. El área bajo la curva calculada le confiere exactitud intermedia.

Determine if amniotic fluid index has value to predict low Apgar at birth at newborns in Regional Trujillo Hospital. Material and methods: Retrospective, observational, diagnosis test study to aplicate in 40 newborns. We calculated the sensibility, specificity, positive and negative predictive value. We calculated the chi square test and the area under the curve. Results: The best cut off value to amniotic fluid index to predict low Apgar at birth was 60 milimeters and sensibility, specificity, positive and negative predictive value were 80%, 75%, 76% y 80%; respectively. The under the curve area were 0.86. Conclusions: The best cut off value of amniotic fluid index was 60 millimeters and this offers the better predictive value to predict low Apgar at birth at newborns with a great statistical significance. The under the curve area offer an intermedium degree of exactitude.
