dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre las estrategias de
afrontamiento y autoestima en estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa de
Trujillo, con tipo sustantivo, no experimental y un diseño correlacional, transversal, en una
muestra de 94 adolescentes de 1er año de secundaria y 74 estudiantes de 2do año de
secundaria, administrando la escala de estrategias de afrontamiento de Frydenberg y Lewis
(1997); y la escala de autoestima versión escolar creado por Coopersmith (2010). Entre los
resultados obtenidos se encontró un nivel medio en resolver el problema (42,3%), en
referencia a otros un nivel alto (49,4%) y en afrontamiento no productivo un nivel medio y
alto (34,5%); en autoestima percibieron un nivel bajo (47,8%) con tendencia a promedio
(44,6%); evidenciando que no existe relación entre Resolver el problema (rho=-.052) y
Referencia a otros y Autoestima (rho=.083) pero, si existe relación con Afrontamiento no
productivo (rho=.402**), con la variable autoestima. Concluyendo que la autoestima
disminuye a medida que los estudiantes realizan comportamientos no productivos | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between coping and self-esteem
strategies in high school students from a trujillo educational institution, with a substantive,
non-experimental method and a correlational, cross-sectional design, in a sample of 94 Teens
of 1st year of high school and 74 students of 2nd year of high school, administering the scale
of coping strategies of Frydenberg and Lewis (1997); and the School Version Scale Scale
created by Coopersmith (2010). Among the results, they obtained an average level to solve
the problem (42.3%), in reference to others a high level (49.4%) and in non-productive
coping an average and high level (34.5%); In self-esteem they perceived a low level (47.8%)
with average trend (44.6%); Evidencing that there is no relationship between solving the
problem (Rho = -. 052) and reference to others and self-esteem (Rho = .083) but, if there is
a relationship with non-productive coping (Rho = .402 **), with the Self-esteem variable.
