Burnout académico entre estudiantes de derecho e ingeniería de una universidad privada de Trujillo

Abstract

Esta investigación tuvo por finalidad determinar las diferencias del burnout académico entre la facultad de derecho y la de ingeniería de una Universidad Privada de Trujillo. El estudio es de tipo sustantivo, con diseño descriptivo comparativo. La población fue constituida por 229 estudiantes del primero al décimo ciclo de Ingeniería Civil y por 126 estudiantes del primero al doceavo ciclo de Derecho. La prueba aplicada fue el Maslach Burnout Inventory - Student Survey (MBI -SS) adaptado a una población universitaria peruana por Correia, Loayza, Vargas, Huamán, Roldán y Pérez (2019). Se determinó que se encontraron diferencias significativas en los niveles de las dimensiones de agotamiento emocional y cinismo entre los alumnos de derecho e Ingeniería civil, siendo los estudiantes de derecho quienes presentaron una media superior en ambas dimensiones, sin embargo, en los niveles de la dimensión de cinismo no se encontraron diferencias significativas en ambos grupos de estudiantes.

The purpose of this research was to determine the differences in academic burnout between the law faculty and the engineering faculty of a Private University of Trujillo. The study is of a substantive type, with a comparative descriptive design. The population was made up of 229 students from the first to the tenth cycle of Civil Engineering and 126 students from the first to the twelfth cycle of Law. The test applied was the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Student Survey (MBI -SS) adapted to a Peruvian university population by Correia, Loayza, Vargas, Huamán, Roldán and Pérez (2019). It was determined that significant differences were found in the levels of the dimensions of emotional exhaustion and cynicism between law and civil engineering students, with law students having a higher average in both dimensions, however, at the levels of cynicism dimension, no significant differences were found in both groups of students
