dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre Inteligencia emocional y Procrastinación en alumnos de secundaria de una Institución Educativa Nacional de Trujillo. Se trabajó con una muestra de 189 alumnos de 3er, 4to y 5to de secundaria pertenecientes a la Institución Educativa Nacional Víctor Andrés Belaunde de Trujillo, siendo esta una investigación de tipo sustantiva descriptiva con diseño descriptivo correlacional. En relación a la recopilación de datos, se utilizó el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional de BarOn Ice para niños y adolescentes y la Escala de Procrastinación para adolescentes de Edmundo Arévalo, ambas pruebas psicológicas validadas y estandarizadas para la población de estudio. Se concluyó que tanto la Inteligencia Emocional como sus componentes Interpersonal, Adaptabilidad, Manejo del Estrés y Estado de Ánimo presentan una correlación altamente significativa (p<0.01) e inversa con Procrastinación y todos sus indicadores, aceptándose la hipótesis planteada; del mismo modo, el componente Intrapersonal de Inteligencia Emocional correlaciona inversamente y significativamente (p<0.05), con los indicadores Motivación, Desorganización, Dependencia, Autoestima y Responsabilidad de Procrastinación, comprobándose también la hipótesis. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | The present research had as general objective to determine the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Procrastination in high school students of a National Educational Institution of Trujillo. For this purpose, a sample of 189 students from 3rd, 4th and 5th years of secondary school belonging to the National Educational Institution Víctor Andrés Belaunde de Trujillo was used. This is a descriptive substantive research with descriptive correlational design. In relation to the data collection, the BarOn Ice Emotional Intelligence Inventory for children and adolescents and the Edmundo Arevalo’s Procrastination Scale for teenagers, both validated and standardized psychological tests for the study population, were used. It was concluded that both Emotional Intelligence and its Interpersonal, Adaptability, Stress Management and Mood State components have a highly significant (p <0.01) and inverse correlation with Procrastination and all its indicators, accepting the hypothesis raised; similarly, the Intrapersonal Emotional Intelligence component correlates inversely and significantly (p <0.05), with the Motivation, Disorganization, Dependency, Self-Esteem and Responsibility of Procrastination indicators, also testing the hypothesis | en_US |
